What are the Pilots Assist guides?
The guides are longer, sourced explainers for pilots and parents, grouped by country. They cover licences, DGCA rules, medicals, finance and conversion, written by the Pilots Assist Team and dated so you can see when each figure was checked. Use the country filter on this page to see only the guides that apply to your route.
Which guide should you read first?
Start with the guide that matches your next decision. If you are still choosing a route, read the guides for students from India. If you already hold a foreign licence, read the conversion guides. If you are planning finance, read the guides on education loans. Each guide links to the official regulator pages it relies on.
How current are the guides?
Each guide shows the date it was last updated at the top of the article, and the figures inside carry their own source and date. When a regulator changes a rule, the guide is reviewed and the date changes with it. If a number could not be confirmed from an official page, the guide says so.
