Guides for India

Guides for students from India: licence steps, medicals, conversion and training finance, in plain English.

Quick answers

Quick answers

What do the guides for students from India cover?

These guides explain how a student in India goes from school to a commercial pilot licence. They cover DGCA eligibility, the Class 1 and Class 2 medicals, the Computer Number, exam subjects and how a foreign licence is converted. Each one names the DGCA page it relies on and shows the date it was last updated.

Where do the facts in the India guides come from?

Rules for Indian licences come from the DGCA, and the guides link the DGCA pages directly. Fees and exam centre details are dated, and the guide says when a figure could not be confirmed from an official page. Facts about training abroad come from the regulator of that country, such as the FAA, SACAA or EASA.

Can the guides replace a call with an adviser?

The guides explain the rules, but your own route depends on your age, education, medical status and budget. The Pilots Assist Team can walk through your case on a free 20 minute call and point you to the right guide. We do not guarantee admission, jobs or loan approval, and the guides say so where it matters.
